Author Guidelines
1. MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION RULES
1.1 The manuscript should be submitted as a MS Word file and as a hard copy, printed in Times New Roman, in black, with a font size of 14, with 1.5 spacing’s and2 cmmargins, on one side of A4 (210 x297 mm).
1.2 The whole manuscript should be compiled in one document with appropriate placement of tables, pictures and captions throughout the text. It is recommended that only standard abbreviations should be used, avoiding those in English (for papers submitted in the Russian language).
1.3 An official cover letter from the organization where the research was done should be attached, with a signature of your research advisor certified by a round seal/stamp of the organization. The last page should be signed by all authors.
1.4 The manuscript should include 1) front page with the title, 2) abstract, 3) keywords and heading line, 4) introduction, 5) materials and methods, 6) study results, 7) discussion, 8) reference list. All pages should be numbered.

1.6 Submission of previously published articles or manuscripts being reviewed in other journals is not permitted. A manuscript that is not properly formatted will not be accepted for review.
2. REGULATIONS FOR DESIGN OF MANUSCRIPTS
2.1. General rules
Front page (all in Russian and English languages) should contain:
1) The title of the paper, both informative and short
2) The first, second and last names of all authors without any abbreviations, their places of work, postal index and address, academic titles, degrees and current positions, email and phone numbers, ODCID. One of the authors should be marked as a responsible for contacts with Editorial Office.
3) Full name of organizations and departments/laboratories, where the work was done
4) Shortened title (heading) to be placed on top of each page.
Abstract (in Russian and English languages) should be structured as follows:
а) aim of the study; b) materials and methods; c) study results; d) conclusion. The abstract should not exceed 250 words. Keywords (from 3 to10, inboth languages) should be indicated at the end of an abstract.
Body text.
An original article should not exceed 8 or 10 printed pages, short reports and clinical cases – 3 to 4 pages. A lecture or a review should exceed 12 to 5 pages, including an abstract before the text.
2.2. Original articles should have following structure:
Introduction. Here the aim and rationale for the study should be formulated, as well as a brief review of the current state of the issue references to the most important publications should be given
Materials and methods. Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of patients (subjects), as well as all methods of the study, including statistical methods should be described here. Names of all devices and new pharmaceuticals should be followed by a manufacturer's name and country of production in brackets.
Results should be presented in a logical sequence in the text, Tables and Figures. All data from Tables and Figures are not to be repeated in the text, rather only the most important one. Figures should not duplicate the data presented in Tables. The International System of Units (SI) should be used.
Discussion. New and important aspects of the study results should be highlighted and compared, if possible, with data from other investigators. The information from the “Introduction” or “Results” section should not be repeated. The Discussion section may include recommendations based on the study results and a short conclusion.
Tables. Each Table should have its title and number (above the table), according to its mentioning in the text. Each column of a Table should have a short title. All explanations, including abbreviations, should be given as references below the Table. Please, indicate mark statistical methods used for data analysis and calculation of significance levels.
Figure captions should be placed below the Figures. Each caption should consist of the title of the Figure and a legend (explanation of the Figure components, arrow, symbols and other details). In captions below magnified photos, the degree of magnification should be indicated.
Illustrations (figures, diagrams, photos) should not be overloaded with texts and comments. In addition to placement of illustrations throughout the text, they should be attached as separate files (in jpeg, tiff, or pdf format).
List of references. Each source/reference should be printed on a new line and numbered. All references in the list should be put in the order of their citing or referrals in the text, rather than in an alphabetic order of the first author's names. If family names of any authors are mentioned in the text, they should be preceded by first letters of their first names. Names of foreign authors are given in original transcription. Reference numbers throughout the text are given in Arabic numerals in square brackets. It is not recommended to include any dissertations/thesis in the list of references for it may be difficult to find them for a reader.
3.3. Writing rules for the list of references
a) author(s) of a book or a paper, b) title of a book or a paper, c) imprint. If the number of authors does not exceed 4 persons (inclusive), all authors should be mentioned (first, family names, then initials of the first and second name, if applicable). If the number of authors exceeds 4, the first three authors should be given in full, with addition of "et al". In some cases, authors of books are also their editors or originators; after the last name "ed." should be put in brackets.
The bibliographic description of a book, after its title, should include the following: the city where it was published, doublet, name of the publisher, comma, the year of publication. If a reference is made to a book chapter, then it should contain the authors, then the name of the chapter, two slashed, the name of the book, one slash, responsible editors and then the imprint.
The bibliographic description of a journal paper should include the following: authors, title, two slashes, the reduced title of the journal (and full name for the Russian-language journals), dot, the year of publication, comma, volume, comma, issue, dot, first and last page number with a hyphen in between. For example: Authors. title. Year; Volume (Number): page. After translated version the Russian-language links indicated [in Russian].
According to international databases’ demands at the end of the English-language and Russian-language (where there is) literary reference, it is necessary to put the digital object identifier - the DOI index - to increase the relevance and citation of scientific papers.
References should comply with the format recommended by the National Information Standards Organization (NISO), adopted by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) for databases: (Library’s MEDLINE/PubMed database) NLM: http://www.nlm. nih.gov/citingmedicine. The names of foreign periodicals can be submitted in abbreviated form; they can be found on the publisher's website or in the list of abbreviations Index Medicus. The names of Russian editions in English should be written completely without any reduction in order to provide citation in international databases.
